<body leftmargin="12" marginheight="12" marginwidth="12" topmargin="12"> <h1>Clinical Studies</h1> <h2>Acupuncture<br> TCM Herbs<br> Tui Na Massage</h2> <p><b>The Institution<br> </b>The Red Cross Hospital works together with the Zhejiang College of TCM in Hangzhou to train foreign students since 1983 and is one of the first TCM training institutions for foreign students in China. It is accredited by TCM universities, colleges and associations globally.<br> <b>The Students<br> </b>The students come in small groups mainly from Europe, Australia and USA to Hangzhou to take part in internships at the teaching clinics of the hospital.<br> <b>The Internship<br> </b>After the study of TCM theory one may gain precious practical experience. A limited number of students may take part in clinical courses between one to three months duration.<br> <b>Advanced Students<br> </b>A journey to China is a sensible experience for the advanced student too. One gets to hear and learn the latest TCM developments in the country of its origin. The knowledge deepens immediately with clinical experience, "learning by doing.<br> <b>Specialization<br> </b>You have the opportunity to specialize in one or several faculties of herbal medicine or Tui Na massage.</p> <h2></h2> <h2>Coordination</h2> <p>The journey to Hangzhou has been organized by TCM Studienreisen under the leadership of Ingrid Hendry since 1990.<br> Ingrid Hendry had studied Chinese Medicine in Australia from 1982 til 1986 and graduated in Hangzhou.<br> She has been coordinating the training courses in Hangzhou since 1990.</p> <h2></h2> <h2>Hangzhou, a "Small Town"</h2> <p>Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province, ca.180 km from Shanghai and not far from the sea. It is a small, idyllic town by Chinese standards but it has been seriously modernized in recent years because it is a center of foreign exchanges. The old character has been better preserved than in most other Chinese cities creating an exciting mix of traditional and modern architecture.</p> <p></p> <h2>Accommodation</h2> <p>The students living quarters in the Red Cross Hospital had been renovated in 2003 and offer comfortable private and common rooms. Our own cook provides us with three warm meals a day from the communal kitchen. <br> All rooms are serviced doubles with en suite bathrooms.
